Setting up a default lead assignment rule is not only time-saving but equally useful in automating the process of assigning leads to specific users/teams.
You can set up such a rule by navigating to Settings > CRM > Lead Management.
Once there, scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will find your Default Agent Assignee and Default Lender Assignee sections. Both sections do the same thing - the only difference is that the former is designated for agents while the latter is for lenders.
You will then click on the Add a new default "Agent" assignee or Add a new default "Lender" assignee button to create your rule.
Your rule filters should populate with options to select the criteria for which the rule will be based on. Feel free to select what Sources, or keywords such as city, state, zip, pricing, other, etc that you want to target for this rule.
Underneath the Assign Users and/or Teams section you will find a drop-down for selecting the users/teams that will be assigned to leads matching your rule.
For example, the following rule will assign all Miami leads from Realtor.com to the Testing team.
Once you are ready to finalize your configuration, click on the Add Default Assignee button to save the rule.
Don't worry if you made a mistake or need to adjust the rule. You can always edit the rule and other users to the rule or update/add to your criteria.
