Using the Business Hours feature, you can setup your Company Business Hours and/or User Notification Hours to prevent auto-responses and drip campaigns and/or SMS and push notifications from being delivered during non-business hours.
There are two types of Business Hours:
- Company Business Hours - Admin users can use this feature to set company wide business hours to prevent auto-responses and drip campaigns from trigger. Note: this feature only prevents auto-response or drip campaigns from triggering and does not prevent users from manually sending an email or SMS.
- User Notification Business Hours - Users can use this feature to set their personal business hours to prevent receiving user SMS/push notifications outside of the established personal business hours. Note: this feature only prevents user notifications and it does not prevent auto-responses and drip campaigns from trigger to contacts.
Company Business Hours
Admin users can set up Company Business Hours to prevent Email and/or SMS from being sent outside of the established business hours. When the Company Business Hours is enabled, auto-responses or drip campaigns will be delivered the next business day.
1. Under Settings, click Profile on the left-hand navigation menu
2. Select Company Info and scroll-down to Business Hours
Setting Up Company Business Hours
In the Business Hours panel, you can specify the hours and or day(s) of the week to prevent Email and/or SMS auto-responses or drips from going out to your contacts.
Time Zone
The Time Zone is defaulted based on your Company Profile Settings, found under Settings > Company Profile > My Company Information.
Email vs. SMS
You can setup email and/or SMS hours independently. To configure your email business hours, click on the Email tab. To configure your SMS business hours click on the SMS tab. To save each setting, click on Update Business Hours button under each tab.
There are two options for establishing business hours:
- Send No Communication(s) Before/After
- Send No Communication(s) On
Send No Communication(s) Before/After
Use this setting to prevent emails and/or SMS from being sent before and after a specific time. When a time is specified, auto-responses and drip campaigns will trigger on the next business hour.
Example: To prevent emails from being sent before 9 am and after 8 pm, set Send No Communication(s) Before to 9 am and Send No Communication(s) After to 8 pm. Any auto-responses or drip campaigns that would have been triggered during these hours will be sent during the next business hour.
Send No Communication(s) On
Use this setting to prevent emails and/or SMS from being sent on specific day(s) of the week. When selected, auto-responses or drip campaigns will not be sent on those days and instead will resume on the following (next) business day.
Example: To prevent auto-response or drip emails from being sent during the weekend, select the checkbox for Saturday and Sunday.
When Send No Communication(s) Before/After and Send No Communication(s) On are both configured, the system will not send any auto-response or drip campaigns before or after the specified time(s) and on the day(s) of the week specified. |
Based on the following example, the system will not send any emails before 8am and after 8pm and on Saturday and Sunday. If an email was scheduled to go out on Friday at 8:30pm, it will resume sending on the following Monday after 8am.
User Notification Hours
Users can configure their own personal notification hours to prevent receiving User Notifications during specified hour(s) and or day(s) of the week. When applied, these settings will apply to all user notifications enabled under the Your Notifications.
Note: if you are an admin and want to update the user, you must first Proxy into the User account if you wish to update their notification hours. |
1. To enable User Notification Hours, go to Settings on the left-hand navigation panel, and click Notifications
2. Scroll down to User Business Hours
Setting Up User Notification Hours
In the User Notification Hours panel, you can specify the hour(s) and/or day(s) of the week to prevent receiving user notifications via SMS and Mobile Push Notifications.
When enabled, you will receive one notification referencing all the contacts that you would have normally received a notification during your business hours. For example, if you received three new contacts outside of your business hours, you will receive one email notification referencing all three contacts. |
Time Zone
The Time Zone is defaulted based on your Company Profile Settings. Contact your system admin to configure these settings.
There are two options for establishing user notification hours:
- Send No Communication(s) Before/After
- Send No Communication(s) On
Send No Communication(s) Before/After

Example: To prevent receiving notifications before 9 am and after 8 pm, set Send No Communication(s) Before to 9 am and Send No Communication(s) After to 8 pm. Any SMS or Push notifications you have enabled under Your Notifications that would have triggered during these hours will be sent during the next business hour.
Send No Communication(s) On
Use this setting to prevent receiving user notifications on specific day(s) of the week. When selected, user notification will not be delivered during the specified day(s) and instead will resume on the following (next) business day.
Example: To prevent receiving user notifications during the weekend, select the checkbox for Saturday and Sunday.
When Send No Communication(s) Before/After and Send No Communication(s) On are both configured, the system will not send any user notifications before or after the specified time(s) and on the day(s) of the week specified. |
Based on the following example, the system will not send any notifications to the user before 8am and after 8pm and on Saturday and Sunday. If a notification was scheduled to go out on Friday at 8:30pm, the user will receive a notification for all applicable notifications on the following Monday after 8am.
