Lead sources are used to track where your leads originated for filtering and reporting purposes.
This page is to manage the sources that you can select for manually created leads. Note that changes on this page will not affect any new leads incoming from a third party nor will any third party integrations be set up from here.
To add or Manage your Lead Sources navigate to Settings >> CRM >> Lead Sources.
Here you can add a new Lead Source by clicking on the button at the top right.
Any existing lead source you'll find the # of contacts associated with each Lead Source Name in the second Column.
To edit the name of the Lead Source click on the pencil icon to the far right.
If you find that you have two similar source names or a source you want to merge with another source, simply click the Merge icon to the far right. This will bring allow you to delete the specified lead source and transfer all leads into a lead source you choose from a drop-down. Any default assignment or default tag rules on this source will no longer work (Settings >> CRM >> Status Triggers).
To add or edit the lead source on a contact, navigate to Contacts and find the contact you wish to edit and click on their name to open their contact profile page. Then click on the Green EDIT button.
Next, scroll down till you find the About section and locate the Lead Source drop-down. Select the source you want from the list or manually type in a new lead source. Hit the Save button at the bottom of the page to finish.
To view the source of a contact you can easily find that under the contact name in the Contact List:
Alternatively, if you click on the contacts name you'll see the source to the right under Edit and Delete.
