Email unsubscribes refer to the process of a recipient removing themselves from a mailing list. This typically happens when a recipient no longer wishes to receive emails from the sender. There are 2 options to unsubscribe an email either from the contact record or by the email recipient clicking on the "unsubscribe" link in the email.
To opt out a contact from their profile, you can follow these steps:
- Click on the contact name to bring up their profile.
- Locate the Gear Icon, and select Email Opt Out from the options available.
- The contact will be removed from the mailing list, and their email address will be marked as unsubscribed.
It's worth noting that when you hover over the email address, it will display the date it was unsubscribed. This can be helpful to track the effectiveness of your mailing list, and to identify patterns in unsubscribes. It's important to maintain a clean mailing list, as sending emails to unsubscribed recipients is considered a form of spam and can harm your sender reputation.
To see a list of contacts that have been unsubscribed you can display a filtered list from the CONTACTS page using the Filter Button .
Under the Classic Filter clicking on the Email Unsubscribes checkbox at the bottom.
Using the Advanced Filters you'll find the Unsubscribed Emails option at the top.
