Adding Calls to the Dialer
Big Purple Dot's Call Dialer is a quick way to queue up scheduled or asap calls centralized all in one place. In order to use the dialer, you must have a headset or a computer with a microphone and speakers.
Cold Call Example: Hi {firstname} this is {Your Name}! You are probably going to hate me because this is a cold call, so, would you like to hang up and fire me now, or could I steal a second of your time real quick?
Using the Quickview:
- Click on the quick preview (
) option
- Click on the History tab within the Quickview
- Click Schedule a Call
- Choose whether you would like to schedule a call immediately (ASAP) or for a certain date and time (Scheduled)
- Select the user you would like to assign the scheduled call
- Add any applicable notes for the next call
- Click Save
Using the Contact Full View:
- Open the contact by clicking on their name on your contacts page
- Click on +Add Call
- Choose whether you would like to schedule a call immediately (ASAP) or for a certain date and time (Scheduled)
- Select the user you would like to assign the scheduled call
- Add any applicable notes for the next call
- Click Save
Add Scheduled Calls in Bulk:
- Select all contacts by using the check box at the top of the page. You can sort by any filters to find the database or set of contacts you would like to schedule your calls with.
- Select Schedule Call
- Choose whether you would like to schedule a call immediately (ASAP) or for a certain date and time (Scheduled)
- Select the user you would like to assign the scheduled call
- Add any applicable notes for the next call
- Click Schedule call to add to your dialer queue. If there are more than 40 calls remember to select the (All Matching Search) option.
- Click Save
Opening the Call Dialer:
To use the dialer click on Dialer on your contacts page.
You'll be met with a tutorial to test your microphone and speakers
Once you have run throught the tutorial, you can click Launch Dialer to begin dialing
Next, the dialer queue will bring up the 1st person listed on your queue.
You can choose to Place Call to start placing the call with the client, Dismiss Call to move the call to the bottom of the queue, or you can click Next to move to the next call in the queue while keeping the previous call in the same position.
**TIP: If this is your first time using the dialer, your broswer will require you to ALLOW it to use the microphone on your computer. Please make sure to click ALLOW and not BLOCK. Should you accidentially click block, you'll have to edit your browser permissions to allow the microphone to be used.
Calls successfully placed will be removed from the queue. If you have several people placing calls at once, the call dialer queue will actively show if a user is currently on a call by highlighting the call in yellow and will lock that call so that you do not place a second call.
During your active call, you'll be met with several options to open a keypad to dial extensions, transfer the call or add a 3rd party, to type and save notes, and ultimately to disconnect the call via Hang Up.
