Browser Sessions Launch Limits

Hi {firstname}, 

We are emailing to inform you of our new security feature that will be launching on Monday, February 1st, 2021. 

In order to improve the security of your account and all client data, every user will only be able to login to two (2) active browser sessions at a time.


What does this mean?

This is an effort to enhance the security of your client data by limiting how many active browsers can log in to your Big Purple Dot account at the same time. 

For added security, once you have reached 2 maximum active sessions open, you will be logged out of all older sessions.

You will see this notice when trying to log back into the older sessions:

What action is required?

No action is required on your end. If you commonly have multiple browsers open at one time, you may notice you have been logged out when trying to access older browser sessions. Simply log back into any older sessions to gain access and log out any other active sessions.


What is considered a “session”?

A "session" is considered open once you have logged into your Big Purple Dot account through an internet browser.

For example, you can log in to your Big Purple Dot account at your office using Chrome, but if you open another browser (i.e. Safari, Firefox) on the same computer or another computer then a second session is opened. 

Should you login using a third computer or open a third browser on the same computer, you will have reached your maximum sessions allotted and all older sessions will be logged out.
