What is a Nuisance Call Label?
When making legitimate business calls, you might see labels like 'Scam Likely,' 'Spam,' 'Fraud Risk,' or 'Robo Call' attached to your outbound calls. These labels can lead to unanswered or blocked calls.
These labels and blocks are added by the recipient's carrier or their analytics partners, not by Big Purple Dot. Because of this, Big Purple Dot has limited ability to fix the issue. However, there are steps you can take to try and remove these labels or avoid call blocking.
This article outlines the steps we can take to minimize the chance of your calls being labeled or blocked.
Signing up for SHAKEN/STIR
SHAKEN/STIR will not remove a Nuisance label, but may increase answer rates due to the "Trusted Call" label applied to the call. When you register for A2P with Big Purple Dot, we automatically sign up for SHAKEN/STIR as a proactive measure. Learn more about A2P Registration.
Signing up for Voice Integrity
Sign up for Voice Integrity to stop your calls from being marked as spam or blocked. This service registers your tracking numbers with the systems used by T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T (Verizon coming soon). Big Purple Dot can register your A2P profile with Voice Integrity if your account is registered with A2P Standard or Low-Volume. To sign up, submit a request to support@bigpurpledot.com.
Adding a CNAM
CNAM stands for Caller ID Name. CNAM will not remove a Nuisance label, but may increase answer rates due to the proper display of caller information applied to the call. To add or update the CNAM for your account, submit a request to support@bigpurpledot.com. Your account must be registered with A2P Standard or Low-Volume.
Will registering my account resolve SPAM labels?
Registering your number often fixes mislabeling or blocking issues, but it doesn’t guarantee that it won’t happen again. Your registered number could still be flagged if unusual call patterns are detected or if consumers report it as spam or fraud.
