To port in a phone number from another carrier to be used with a Mortgage CRM company and user, please follow these steps:
- Collect the Required Information: You will need to gather the following information:
- First and Last Name of the owner of the account
- Physical address of the location
- A signed Letter of Authorization (LOA) by the authorized user and/or owner of the number(s). Note that the information on the LOA must match the authorized user name and service address provided by the current phone numbers carrier.
- Obtain a Customer Service Record (CSR). You can do this by following the instructions here: https://support.twilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/223179408-How-can-I-obtain-a-CSR-
- A scanned (or electronic) copy of the most recent phone bill, within the last 30 days, that includes the account, owner/authorized user name, and address information for all the numbers you’d like to port.

Fill out the LOA form: You can download the LOA form here: https://github.com/BigPurpleDot/BigPurpleDot/files/11290859/Letter_of_Authorization.pdf. Once you have the form, fill it out with the required information.

Email Support: Once you have all the required information, email support@bigpurpledot.com with your port request. Make sure to attach the LOA form and scanned copy of the phone bill to the email.
Once you have completed these steps, our support team will review your request and work with the carrier to initiate the port process. Please note that porting a phone number can take up to 10 business days to complete, so please plan accordingly. Please be aware that any transfer fees or cancellation fees charged by the previous carrier will be the responsibility of the user. Additionally, once the number is successfully ported over to the new company, the number will be owned by the company taking on the number.
